Our Pre-Conference tour will take place on June 8, 2012. Participants will meet for a full day of touring the pyramids of Saqqara and the National Museum and spend the evening at our hotel near Giza. Those people who want to see the Prymid of Ghiza and the Spinx will have to arrive on the June 7th and can make their own arrangements for a tour. Upon registration suggestions can be provided.

Our main conference will begin with our ride from Cairo to Alexandria on June 9th, with a stop at the Coptic monasteries of Wadi El-Natrun.  That evening we meet for an orientation and dinner reception. Each day, we will have morning plenary sessions, followed by lunch, at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.  Afternoons include activities exploring ancient and modern Alexandria, visiting museums and sites of archeological and literary interest, as well as attending a choice of workshops. Our dinners will take place at a variety of restaurants on the Corniche, and be followed by evenings of culture and celebration. The conference will end with our late morning coach ride back to Cairo Airport on June 14th for participants returning home or continuing on to Post-Conference Egypt. Participants in our Post-Conference Cyprus trip will spend the evening of the 14th of June in Alexandria, and then travel by coach to Cairo on the 15th for their flight to Larnaca.
